SB looked over at Nicki then back to Linda and Judy. He didn't say anything as they went back and forth about Linda dating Fred. He was pissed and decided when he woke up that he would just stay calm and not say a word.

"Linda you aren't grown and I'm not going to let you act like it."

"I'm not trying to be grown, I just want to have fun! I do what..."

"Have fun? Going to college parties and bringing your friend home drunk is fun?"

"I didn't tell..."

Nicki screamed then stormed out the room. Linda sat shaking on the sofa. SB still hadn't said anything then Nicki walked back in and sat next to him. She looked at him as he stared over at the front door. The person he was waiting for showed up. He got up and went to door. He pulled it open to see Fred standing there. He grabbed the back of his neck and pointed to the chair next to him.

"You dating my daughter?"

"No..."

"I'll ask again before I fuck yo shit up son."

"Uh.. Uh... Yes sir."

"How old are you?"

"Twenty three."

SB chuckled as he pulled off his wedding band. Nicki stood up and placed her hands on his chest. Linda looked over at Fred, who shook his head at her as his eyes cut. Linda just not gone get it until it hurts her. We just looking out for her, but she keeping dicking us like we hurt her.

"Nic, get off me.

She backed up as he walked out the front door. Nicki knew what he was about to do and turned to Fred. She put her finger over her lips then pointed to him.

"Don't say anything stupid."

SB shouted as he walked back in with his hand gun. He placed it on the table and sat down. Fred sat up in his chair. He stared between the gun and SB.

"Faree, please don't do this."

"Get out."

"No, promise you won't hurt him."

"Nic, get out."

"Promise."

He sighed loudly then emptied the gun of its bullets. He handed her the bullets then nodded his head. She kissed his lips then left the room playing with the bullets.

"Judy you can leave and tell Nic, I said to take you home."

"Yes sir."

"So Linda, you think you grown, girl?"

"No."

"Naw, you do."

"I don't, Daddy."

"I can't fucking tell. Grown boyfriend, grown people's party and this outfit, yeah we obviously have a grown ass on our hands."

He watched him gulp. This caused a twitch in SB to turn on as the same face of his victims before his good life flashed in his head. Fred looked scared. SB breath in slow then pulled himself together as Nic walked back into the room.

"Let Fred go."

"Why?"

"We need to handle something else."

She looked to the side then back at him. He eyed her trying to read her then hit the table and pointed from Fred to the front door. Fred hurried to his feet and rushed out the door. Pussy. Linda thought as her mom eyed her then her lips tightened.

"Did you know your friend had sex?"

"Yeah... But...."

"Are you having sex too?"

"No! I didn't know she was going to do that!"

Linda didn't understand why everyone was mad with her. She got them home safe, she wasn't having sex and she wasn't the one drunk. I can't control the actions of someone else, the fuck? They should understand me and where I'm coming from, but no.

"Well she's upstairs crying and you're taking her home to explain to her parents what happen."

SB stood up and left out the room. I take her into my home & heart and this is the thanks I get? This is my baby and she knows it that's why she's doing this shit. This is just a phase. Right God? SB thought to himself as he grabbed his keys and stepped into his shoes. Judy walked beside him with her head down and bag in hand.

"You alright, Ma?"

"No. I feel like a dirty mop."

He watched as she stepped little by little towards the steps. She looked to be in pain. She might need to go to the hospital first.

Judy was laid on the hospital bed looking out the window as her parents fussed at her. She never said a thing and wouldn't snitch on Linda when they asked her what happen. Linda's face was emotionless as her friend's parents fussed her out. Nicki was pissed about her not showing any feeling when it came to other people. SB walked back into the room and whispered into her ear. She nodded as her eyes kept their focus on Linda.

"Hey, I'm Mr. Samuels, Linda's father."

"Hi, I'm Ms. Unique and this is Jusy's father Judi."

Linda giggled to herself at his name being Judi. What the hell? Is it that serious? She looked up to see Nicki staring her down. They stared at each other. My Mommy's so pretty, but I know I'm dead when we get home if I'm already not. SB was talking with Judi while Unique was being extra with the little movements and giggles she was doing. Nicki snapped out of her trance on Linda and focused on Unique. She stood to her feet and in front of SB. He sighed into her hair as she came to his rescue. Thirsty ass bitch act like she didn't see my wife. He grabbed her hand, the one with the ring on it to show Unique without being to bold in her face. She didn't catch it or maybe she didn't care.

"So SB what do you do for a living?"

"We aren't here for him, Nique, focus on Judy!"

"That's what you need to focus on and not my HUSBAND."

Judy finally spoke in a bitter tone. Linda stood to her feet then walked over to Judy. They whispered into each others' face then Judy smiled and they hugged.

"You guys can go, I'm fine."

"You sure baby?"

"Yes, Miss Nicki."

"Okay JuJu."

They all left out as Judy faced her back to her parents. Nicki looked over and grabbed Safaree's hand and kissed his shoulder. He shrugged still just as pissed as her.

Nicki caught a breath in and squinted at Linda. What the hell does that mean? Is she trying to get bold because I will fuck her up.

SB saw where this was headed and intervened. Nicki pushed him out the way and walked up on Linda as she backed into the wall. SB tried to pull her back, but she had Linda by the throat. OMG, Mommy's going to kill me.

Nicki stepped back and blinked back the tears that streamed down her face.

Aiydan scooted across the floor as he mimicked Macy crawling across the floor in front of him. He smiled when she sat down on her legs and looked back at him. He then sat down and looked back behind him, but frowned at no-one being behind him.

"Mama!"

He nodded his head. She looked at Macy who was sitting against the sofa with her head tilted to the side looking up at her. They both smiled at the same time at Aiydan telling on her for something she had no control over. He scooted across the floor to Nic's side. She reached over and picked him up . Macy looked up at SB standing behind the sofa.

"Macy go get your brothers and sisters."

"Alright."

"What's going on?"

"Family meeting."

"About what?"

"Be at the table."

He continues to walk out the living room with his attitude. He was mad at her and Linda, so he hardly spoke to them. Nicki stood up with Aiydan in her arms. I'm not here for his attitude, I didn't do shit to him. He should be mad at his fucking self for talking me into letting her go. She sat at the table and played with Aiydan until Maddy bounced into the Family room with her hair straight down her back.

She looked back to see her Daddy and everyone pile into the room. She sat down next to Nicki with Macy in her lap and cuddled up to her. Safaree stood over the table and looked at them all. He looked over at Linda and spoke.

"Some of you are so ungrateful and spiteful to us, like we owe you anything more than what we've been doing. You spit in our face like we wanted it to be like this, but today we'll get it all out right here."

Linda looked away as his eyes pierced her heart. Everyone was looking at her now.

"What's going on?"

"You want to tell your brother how you've been dating his friend?"

Her face fell as Nic shook her head and stared at her. Linda fought the tears like she always did then stared down at her fingers. I'm already not allowed to go out or have people over. What's next? She spoke to herself too soon.

Nicki felt bad for her, but she wouldn't go against SB. His jaw tightened as he stared at her. Nicki's eyes shifted to the right then back to SB's.

"Well while we're all ganging up on me, Ass face over there got his lil bitch pregnant!"

Nicki pushed away from the table and grabbed Aiydan. She tapped Maddy and Macy then pushed then towards their bedrooms. So he just gone keep the shit a secret? Alright let me go put my babies to sleep.

Nicki was upset cause now two of her kids were gone. First Licour now Marquez. She shifted in her chair as QJ stood and kissed her forehead before heading out the door. It left SB, Nicki and Linda. Linda began to leave when Nicki spoke to her.

"Where are you going?"

"My room. Don't you think you've taken enough from me?"

"Bye."

"That's all? You don't care about me..."

"You don't want me to care, so I'm done trying. Everyone's against you! When really it's you blocking us out."

"You're not trying to do anything, but control everything I do!"

"There you go, always me, but never you. I'm done talking with you and trying to giving a fuck about what's going on with you."

Nicki stood up and pulled SB along with her. He looked back at Linda then hurried behind her. Linda sat back at the table and drew on the table until she got sleepy.

Linda sat at her desk and listened as Dr. George talked about their projects due in two weeks when the girl next to her passed her a note. What is this? The fifties. Damn, note? She chuckled as she opened it and read over it. She rolled her eyes towards William. Should of known he would be the one to fall in love. She stood up and ripped up the note and threw it into the trash. He's so damn dumb and naive. It wasn't that great for him to be in love and shit. Get his heart out of it and move on.

"Psst, Linda what was that about?"

"Nothing Judy..."

"You never tell me anything anymore."

"Are you going to Mark's party?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Me too, I'll pick you up."

She smirked winking at her. She's so lame, it's time to get her out of high school parties. Linda and Licour had become close over the last few weeks and he invited her to college parties. This weekend was a frat party that Fred had told her about, even though he was Quez's friend all three hung out. She had it planned out already how she would get Judy, so that was the least of her worries. Her mom was her obstacle, but she would deal with the consequences later. She wanted to have some fun.

"Just do it and tell your Grandma we're coming to her house to go to Mark's party."

She laughed as she walked to her next class with William on her tail. He's becoming annoying. He grabbed her arm and tugged her back. She looked around to make sure Alex wasn't coming. She sighed of relief then mugged William.

She was only at school for her final exams for home schooling. They had them hosted at their home schools so that they could study then go to a place for their finals. Only three more days.

Linda pulled Judy into the back of Nic's new pink range rover then hugged her neck. Nicki looked in the rearview mirror at her then pulled off towards the mall.

"Mommy, you seriously had to talk to Daddy to let me go?"

"Yes, I don't trust these house parties."

"But Alex will be there and Judy."

Linda sat back and looked down at her lap as she texted SB then Judy.

JuJu: I see, what if she changes her mind. I really want to go to Mark's party!
Linda: She won't, Daddy won't let her, but I know she's not going to say anything the whole time we're shopping.
JuJu: OMG, so we have to pick out our own outfit! What you do to make her mad?

They looked at each other and smiled as they fell out in a fit of giggles. Just began to text again and smiled hard then looked over at Linda staring at her.

"Mama Nicki are you going to go shopping with us?"

"Nope, I'm going to meet with someone while you guys walk around or whatever it is you're going to do."

"Can I get the black card?"

Linda asked smiling up into the rear view mirror. Nicki's eyes cut at her through the mirror. Please, don't say no. Linda frowned and her eyes began to water.

She bounced around in the back seat as they pulled up to the mall. One outfit for me and Judy. Yes, lets go. She jumped out the car, grabbed the card and raced into the mall with Judy on her trail.

Linda held Aiydan on her hip as she adjusted her top. She looked down at him looking up at her grabbing for her earring. Cutest little baby ever, I can't wait until he's walking. She laid him on the bed and jumped when she felt a hand on her back.

Linda turned to face her and marveled over her. Wow, I really can dress. Finally she doesn't look so church going. She was in a blue tight fitting dress with white pumps with silver accessories. Her hair was straight and fell over her shoulders. She looked cute.

She picked up Aiydan handed him to Maddy after kissing him then kissed her. She grabbed their jackets and raced out the door with Licour's car keys.

They were headed towards Mark's house when Linda made a left turn instead of a right towards the college campus. Judy began to panic and spoke up, but was interrupted by Linda.

"We're going to a college party, I want you to have fun looking this cute."

"Linda, but we told you mom.."

"She won't find out! We'll be back in time to be at the party for an hour just to say we were there."

"Linda, OMG! I knew you were up to something!"

She stated pulling up to the lot where the valet for the party was. She grabbed all of Licour's jewelry and stuff threw it in the case he had in the trunk and closed it the took the key off the car ring and handed the car keys to the guy. I don't know him and he ain't about to get my brother. She pulled on Judy's nervous arm and dragged her in the party.

"Where's Fred?"

"He in back why?"

"None of your business, but hey meet my friend Judy and show her a good time for me."

He smiled looking over Judy. Judy stiffened standing next to him as he put his arm around her shoulder. Linda stood next to them to make sure Judy got comfortable enough so she could leave her.

"I'm Judy."

"Eighteen."

Linda looked her over then made her way over to the kitchen where she had seen Fred go. She walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around him. He smiled knowing it was her as he spun around to face her. She smiled then stepped back hugging him again.

She asked as she wrapped her arms around his back and danced in front of him. He looked around the room and then looked into her face. He put his finger to his lips then whispered in her ear.

He grabbed her face and kissed her. When she felt his lips against her sparks flew through her. It was nothing like when her and Alex kissed or her and William. It was much better than that. She had started dating him behind her brother's back and her and Alex had been broken up, but she didn't tell anyone, but Fred.

The alcohol was really kicking in and her grip became tighter on Linda's arm. She stared at her making the tension in the room become uneasy. She jerked back then looked into her friends face as her grip on her lightened up.

"I'm sorry, lets go home."

She stated storming out the room. Linda wiped her mouth and shook her head. This bitch has lost it. Let me hurry and get her home.

Linda walked in the house a little after twelve and Nicki sat on the sofa waiting for her. They're eyes locked then she noticed her phone on the sofa next her. Judy stepped in the house giggling and smiling until she saw Nicki.

"Ohhhh, we're in trouble now."

"Where you been Linda An?"

"I went to..."

"Think before you open your mouth to lie to me. Again, where have you been?"

"A Licour's frat brother's party."

Nicki got up with a smile on her face. She grabbed Linda's phone then walked up on her. They stood face to face as she spoke.

"I know exactly who he is and I can't wait until your father gets here, so we can "talk" about it."

She walked off heading for the elevator, but turned to her and busted her shit.

"Alex told me what's going on and go get Judy some water and keep the trash can by her side of the bed."

"Shit. I'm so dead."

She thought as Nicki stepped on to the elevator. Ugh, Judy!

We all got to the house and Ma began to cook since no-one ate at the dinner. Maddy was right up under her with Macy at her side. Linda followed after Pop and Aiydan. Layshun had gotten dropped off at his friends house after Ma and Pop argued about him going. Ma is the funniest when it come to the youngest four. She baby the fuck out of them. She still had her babying ways towards me and Cour, but we wasn't having that. I sat out on the porch and looked at the sky thinking about my new bitch.

"Yo, let me talk to you."

"I think Lou An got Ms. Jamie following us."

"She was at the church last Sundays we've been, she was at Macy's school when I picked her up last week and she was even at the market when I went shopping with Ma."

Licour howled out at QJ 's dramatics then shook his head. This nigga laughing and I'm serious. This bitch following Ma and Macy like she on some homo shit. Fuck? Naw I'm not with that shit cause anything happen to them I'm going to jail after I kick her ass and Licour's for being stupid as fuck. Licour stood up and headed for his car.

"Where you going?"

"Lou's hotel."

"Let me call Maia and tell her I'll come get her tomorrow."

Licour pulled up near the hotel then quickly turned into the ramp parking lot. I hope he know what he's up against. They both got out and looked around the parking lot then walked towards the hotel. It was packed like was the holiday season. Licour pulled out a piece of paper then tugged on QJ's arm.

He stated pulling on his arm then headed towards the elevator. This nigga better know where he going. They got on the empty elevator and awkwardly looking in the mirrored walls of it. QJ looked over to Licour tapping his leg nervously. This nigga about to get us fucked up, Lou is fucking nuts and don't give a damn about us being her grand kids. He huffed loudly before speaking up.

They both looked to the hall and noticed a lot of their family around. Yo, what the fuck is up? Jena, Uncle Sef and everybody. He continued after Licour while everyone around them seem not to notice their presence. Licour knocked on a door and was greeted by Lou's body guard then he stepped to the side and they both stepped in. She sat on a chair with five young girls surrounding her at her feet. "But spring break..."

"I know, but you have a doctors appointment tomorrow to go to."

"I do? I thought I was up to date."

"Yeah you are, but my baby boy isn't and you said you wanted to help."

"Maaa!"

"Alright, Lil Daddy, zanggg! I got it, but bathe him!"

"Will do!"

He watched as she left the room and threw Aiydan into the air then caught him. Still no emotions. He held him in his arms and walked to the bathroom . He pulled out Aiydan's tub and ran some warm water in it as he put some Johnson & Johnson bubble bath in it.

"Lay, why you always got Aiydy?"

"Cause he's my favorite sibling."

"Really? I thought I was."

Maddy pouted watching him put the baby in the tub. She grabbed the bath towel from his hand and began rubbing over his pale little body. He splashed around in the water as he stared up at her.

"You could just say you want to bathe him instead of taking it."

"You would just say no."

"Got that right, ugly."

"I'm telling Mommy you called me ugly and now my self esteem is low."

"LIAR!"

He yelled out after her as she raced out the room. He looked down at him and poked at his long face. He picked him up and carried him over to his bed. He carefully put on his diaper and lotioned his body. Nicki came in and sat on his bed as he dressed the baby.

"Lay..."

"Yes, Ma?"

"Where is Licour?"

"Um... I don't know."

He lied not looking her way. He knew she knew that he was lying, but he was taking a chance at it anyways. She burned a hole in the side of his face. She shook her head as he lied to her face.

"You don't have to lie for him."

"I'm..."

"Layshun."

"Alright, I just can't tell you."

He said looking up at her. She looked down at Aiydan moving around, watching his own finger as he popped it in and out of his mouth. He looked up to meet Nicki's eyes. He smiled then frown then smiled again as she did the same. She looked at Lay then walked out pointing to him.

"I will find out!"

He grabbed Aiydan and went into his room. Nicki had put a bed in his room, instead of putting a crib in everyone's room like Maddy suggested. He laughed thinking about one baby having nine beds. He placed him in the crib and walked out on the balcony to call Licour.

"Waddup?"

"Ma just asked about you. You know I can't lie."

"I knew.."

"I didn't tell her, but I did say I couldn't tell her."

"That's good... I got her and found out where she been staying."

"Can't believe she been watching us this whole time."

"She saw Macy at church and she saw Ma pregnant."

"What is she going to do to them?"

"I don't know, but it's freaking me out and I need to be answered before next week."

"But Macy isn't part of our blood line or Aiydan."

"I don't think she knows about Aiydan since he hasn't left the house since he's been born."

"I'm nervous."

"Man, me too... I'm bout to come in the house. We'll talk later."

They hung up and Lay looked over the balcony to see his car pull in. He stepped back in the house and shut the doors. He looked to see the baby sleep and got in the bed and laid down.

Lay stood against the rail as Tiffanee came up to him with muffins in her hands. She smiled as he rolled his eyes then continued talking to his friends. They were talking until she stepped up asked him did he want one.

"No, I don't want nothing from you."

"Why not? It's good."

"Get the muffin Shun!"

Timothy said nudging him. He looked at him and snatch the muffin from her hand and gave it to him. She smiled still pleased with him taking it from her. He adjusted against the rail then pushed off walking away from the group.

"Where you going Shun?"

"Home, you guys are boring me. I have more fun with my baby brother."

"Let me come, I want to speak to your mom again."

"NO, you only like talking to her cause she thinking I like you, ew."

"You will like me LayLay!"

He pushed her away and ran down the street to his house with her running behind him. He looked back to see she had stopped. He stopped then walked the rest of the way to catch his breath. Dumb girl, I don't even know why she like me still.

"Mama looking for, Lay."

"Why what I do?"

"Nothing, but you better hurry up."

"If I didn't do nothing then why I need to hurry?"

"Cause she been calling you for the last twenty minutes, DUH."

He pushed open the door to his mom yelling his name. He followed her voice to the kitchen and stepped inside.

"Where you been boy?"

"Outside with my friends."

"Wash your hands, remember it's your night to cook and you're thirty minutes late."

"Oh, sorry!"

SB came in the house and made his way up to the bedroom and looked over at Aiydan and Layshun on the bed watching videos. Nicki came out the bathroom in her robe and slippers.

"Lay..."

"He good, I'm bout to go to the office."

"Are you sleeping in there?"

"I might, I might not."

Layshun looked at his Pop giving his mom the cold shoulder for the third night. He knew about their argument about his dad wanting to go to Florida with his boys, but his mom wasn't having that. He watched from the corner of his eye as SB left the room and Nic come sit next to him on the bed. She sighed.

"Shun."

"Yes, Ma."

"Don't be like your father... Asshole."

"Don't tell him no shit like that."

SB stated walking into the room. He eyed her as he went into the closet. Layshun watched as she got up and followed him into the walk in closet. He stayed quiet as he heard them talking.

"Aiydan, our parents are nuts."

"Ahhhhh.."

He sat up to play with him as Nicki came out the closet with an angry look on her face. She looked back then stormed over to Aiydan and picked him up.

"Don't take it out on my son!"

"Shut up.."

"Ma.."

"She alright, she'll be fine as soon as she calm down."

SB walked to a dresser to get a shirt as he walked around in his sweat pants and running shoes. He always went for a jog when he was in some sorta mood. Layshun put on his shoes and ran behind him and out the door.

"Pop, why don't Ma want you to go to Florida?"

"It's a woman thing, but no I seriously don't know why, but I'm going anyways."

"That just makes her mad."

He stopped and stood tall looking over Layshun. Did I say something wrong? Hmmm, now he's mad. He sighed loudly then put his hand on his shoulder.

"I know, but some times we need a break from each other and it's only two days, your Mom is tripping."

"So it's okay to make her mad?"

"For the right reasons, cheating isn't one of them."

"Got it."

They raced up and down the block. SB was kicking his ass in the little relay they had going on. Layshun looked over at SB as they made their way to the end of the their driveway to catch their breath. My Dad's the coolest.

[Monday)

Two days before Grandma was in town and Ma was panicking about everything being neat. Grandma wasn't anything special just cause she's a queen. She's just as slimy as my mother and I can't wait until she leaves. Annoying woman.

"Lay, hand me my phone."

"Pop, has called."

"Really? He said the weekend!"

She pouted looking down at Aiydan's small face. He looked so emotionless and clueless. I don't like keeping secrets from Ma, but Daddy asked me not to say anything. He watched as she grabbed the house phone and dialed his dad again and still got no answer. She threw the phone across the floor.

"Ma, you should calm down... He..."

"Not right now, go get your sisters."

He walked across the hall to Maddy's room and saw her stretched across her bed staring into the ceiling. He touched her and stared down at her. A tear raced down her cheek then she sat up and looked at him with her legs to her chest and her arms around them.

"What you want?"

"What's wrong with you?"

"Two days, I'll be leaving for Ghana. Mommy hasn't even looked at me since March came around."

"She doesn't want you to go..."

"She could..."

"Maybe this is her way of "acting" like it. I don't want you to leave, but I already know you have to, but Ma didn't grow up like us."

"Yeah, but I just want one more day with her alone."

"I'll help you."

"Layshun!"

"Yes, Ma?"

"What's taking so long?"

"Talking to Maddy."

"Oh, well hurry up."

Maddy's frown deepened as she followed behind him as they searched for Linda. They found her sitting on the sofa on the phone. By the curve in her lips, it was Alex. She put her finger up then looked over at them.

"Ma, wants you guys."

"Okay, I'm on the phone.."

"Um, you tell her that."

"Shut up.. I'm coming."

"Linda, have you spoke to Pop?"

"No, I thought he was suppose to be home today?"

"No... He.... Never mind."

"What? You have a secret? Oh my gosh, Layyy!"

"Shhh, don't tell Ma..."

"Hold on."

She went to the door and looked out of it. She looked side to side. He sat on the bean bag in her room and waited for her to come back. She act like she won't hear mom coming.

"What happen?"

"Well Dad told me that he had business to take care of in Florida, but he wouldn't be back until Wednesday morning."

"What business, I know you know?"

"DON'T tell Ma!"

"Alright."

"Some girl name Monique from his past life and that's all I know.."

"Lay! You have to tell Mommy!

"No! Dad said he would tell her when he got back!"

"If he doesn't, then you are."

She stated getting in his face. He looked away then back at her. I'm not telling Ma anything. I'm not getting in grown people's business and Linda can't make me. He eyed her then pushed her out of his way.

"You don't tell me what to do and I'm not telling Ma nothing."

He stated walking out her room and making his way out the house to get in contact with his Dad before shit hit the fan. He knew a lot, but said little, but he would soon have to speak up.

Love Games

Nicki laid in the hospital bed and cried out in pain. Everything on her was hurting and she couldn't fight it anymore. Linda kept calling SB as her mother squeezed the life out of her left hand. Please Daddy answer the phone. He picked up and rushed his words out as he came into the room.

"OMG, finally you're here."

"What happen?"

"She said she was in pain.... Now my hand is too."

He chuckled as he took her small hand from Nic's tight grip. She flexed her hand as she continued to tell him what had happen two hours after he had left.

"So she was... Shit, Nic!"

"Baby, call the doctor, I'm having this baby right now!"

"Linda press the button and call your Grandmas. Shit, Nic another month in a half."

"Safaree, don't question me!"

She shouted as she grunted. He went down to see what was going on and yelled out a long Yo as he saw the baby's hair. Linda went to look and smiled big as she talked into the phone.

"OMG, Grammies, Mommy is def having the baby today!"

"Yep, I see the head."

"He's at the house with Licour."

"Yeah, Licour has his car and QJ has Mommy's car."

"Yeah! YEAH!"

The doctors came rushing in with utensils, nurses and masked. The nurses moved Linda to the side as they hooked Nicki up to the monitor and put a needle in her arm. The monitor displayed to heart beats and SB jumped seeing one was irregular.

"Wait what's up with that line slowing down?"

"Which sir?"

"The red one right there!"

Without even looking the doctor answered him and his heart sank looking into his wife's pale face. She had turned super pale and you could see the blue veins in her forehead appear.

"That's your wife's heart beat. She's loosing life as we speak."

"Do.. I need to...?"

"Just hold her hand and talk to her. Keep her alert, so we can get the baby out and save her life."

He looked at her and bent forward whispering into her ear. Linda watched from inside the room's observatory. Nicki was nodding her head and had a faint smile on her face as SB rubbed through her curly hair. She jumped feeling a heavy hand on her back then looked to see Licour, Maddy, Layshun and Macy standing there.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know, they had me stand out here until the can get the baby out."

"What's going on with Ma?"

"I don't know, but by that line right there one of them is dying. I'm nervous."

"DYING?"

"Maddy, shut up and calm down. We can't get worked up then you'll get Macy started."

They all looked towards the door and in came their Granny, Grammy and QJ. They all stepped back as their grannies looked into the window. Mama Carol walked into the room and stood over by SB.

He looked over at her and began to talk with a frown on his face. Mama Carol grabbed her daughter's hand and resumed doing as Linda had watched SB do. He walked in the room and slummed into the chair. Maddy stood in front of him and tugged on his pants.

"What's going on? Are they okay?"

"We'll see in a few hours."

He said pushing up and making eye contact with his Mom and QJ, who followed behind him. They stood outside the door and Maddy walked up and cracked it to hear what was said.

"Nicki's fighting to save her and the baby's life. They say that the stress on her was effecting her body and that she wasn't eating enough for herself and the baby. She's hungry, thirsty, drugged up and trying to give birth. They're trying to give her enough food through the tubes before they pull the baby out...."

"Noo!!"

They looked back to see Maddy running from the door and into the room with Nicki. SB went after her, but stopped at the door as she stood next to Nicki crying and screaming.

"MOMMY PLEASE DON'T LEAVE! YOU'RE ALL I GOT! IM SORRY ABOUT STRESSING YOU OUT, I DIDN'T MEAN TO SAY IT.... WELL I DON'T MEAN IT ANYMORE. PLEASE MOMMY WAKE UP, EAT, DRINK... TALK TO ME!!!"

She tried to get in the bed with her, but SB grabbed her. As they walked out the door, they heard a long beep then looked back to see the red line go flat. Maddy snatched away and ran back to her and grabbed her face.

"NO MOMMY I'M SORRY!! PLEASE DON'T DIE PLEAAASSSEEE!"

She reached out for Nicki as a security guard grabbed her and took her outside of the room. SB stood by the door, everyone stood without breathing. Linda cried holding and rocking Macy. Everyone in the room cried as the monitor continued to beep. SB turned and dropped to his knees as he punched the wall in front of him. No man, I can't loose the love of my life! I can't.. What...

They all turned at the sound of the monitor beeping and picking up pace as Nic's eyes fluttered open and she pushed all at once. The doctor stood in front of her as she coached the baby out. All the kids got up and looked in the window and doorway at her flushed face becoming brown and cheeks red.

"Where is my baby?"

SB stood up and walked over to her. He looked at her confused face and half smiled as she looked around.

"You haven't delivered him...."

"No, Maddy?"

He looked around and looked at the kids. Layshun left out the door as Nic pushed the baby out as the doctor had told her. She laid back feeling more exhausted than before. The nurses cleaned her up and let with the little boy in their hands. She looked out at the kids and with her finger told them to come in. Layshun came rushing in with Maddy behind him. She pushed through them and got in the bed with Nic.

"Mommy, I'm..."

"I heard you... I love you and I just want you to know that I'd never do anything to hurt you or your siblings."

Maddy wrapped her arms around Nicki's weary body and didn't move.

SB carried the bags in the house and sat them in the living room by the sofa. Nicki had caught an infection, so they kept her for about a week, but then the baby got sick and she had to stay another week. Maddy had got a hold to SB credit card and started ordering loads of stuff for her Mommy and baby, Aiydan. Linda and her set up his room and kept the house orderly. She smiled at the painting of Aiydan's name across the wall as she listened to the front door close.

"Please, Faree, I'm fine. We're good."

"You sure? I can carry you up?"

"I've been sitting on my ass for months, let me do this."

She said holding Aiydan in one arm and onto the rail. SB walked behind her just in case. Nicki stepped up on the last step and stopped to look back at him. She smiled at the look on his face and continued towards Aiydan's room.

"Maddy what is it?"

"Hell, what isn't it?"

SB mumbled a little too loud. She walked into the room and cried seeing all the blues and greens laid amongst the floor and on the bed. She laughed at the home made mural of Aiydan's name.

"Aww baby."

"Surprise!"

All the kids popped their heads out of the closet. She grinned as she passed the baby to SB and reached out to them. QJ pushed them all out the way and hugged her first. They all grouped hugged and began telling her what they had contributed to the room.

"Mommy, you never told us what Aiydan's name means?"

"Well Grammy picked it and it means Peaceful Little Fire."

"Shaan Aiyden Samuels, welcome home!"

"Welcome home lil bro!"

They shouted as the baby looked their way with his eyes still closed. Macy stood up and reached for him. Nicki sat in the green rocking chair and patted her legs.

"What if he's not peaceful when he grows up?"

"Then he'll be a little fire, DUH!"

"What if he ain't little?"

"Then he'll just be a contradiction."

Linda stated as they all fell out into a fit of laughter. Maddy hit the floor crying her eyes out. What the hell is up with these kids? I mean God, I never cried so hard in my life. SB thought handing the baby to her. He wiped at a tear and pushed Linda over.

"I'm just saying."

"Yo, Linda, man I can't with you. How you gone play our little brother already?"

"I'm just SAYING!"

Nicki shook her head at Linda. Everyone stayed in Aiydan's room talking about how beautiful he was and how they thought he would be when he grew up.

Mama Sonja called them through the intercom to eat. Maddy was the last to leave out of the room. She walked over to the crib and looked at the tiny body she was envied while in the womb and stared. Nicki watched from the doorway.

"I'm sorry Aiydan. You're more of my real brother than anything. I was jealous of you for awhile, thinking that you had it better than me, but we both have it good, no great! I promise that I will always love you no matter how far away I am and I hope one day to see you as handsome and brave as Daddy and as sweet and loving as Mommy. Never take them for granted because you never know what could happen. I learned that two weeks ago and I'll never forget it. I love you my Little Fireball."

She wiped at a tear as she kissed his small round face. She smiled at it seeming like he had smirked at her. Nicki walked away and sped to the stairs as she heard Maddy turn off the light and shut the door. She smiled to herself and wiped away her tears.

Linda rushed in the house after work and raced up the stairs to Aiydan's room. She held the mail in her hands and smiled big at as she looked over Nicki breast feeding him.

"Mommy, I got accepted into Nursing School!"

"Shhh, Linda.. Congratz baby."

"Sorry, Look at my letter. I can't wait until the family meeting!"

"Who called a family meeting?"

"Daddy."

"He didn't say anything to me."

"Oh.."

Nicki stood up and placed a sleeping Aiydan down in his crib. She grabbed Linda and hugged her. Linda smiled big reading over the letter as she pulled back. Nicki grabbed her hand and they walked to her daddy's office. He was on the phone.

"I'll call you back in a few minutes."

"Alright."

"Hey two of my beautiful ladies?"

"Hey Daddy!"

Nicki smiled exposing her dimples as she sat in his lap. She looked at Linda and winked her eye. Linda took a deep breath and spazzed out.

"I GOT ACCEPTED INTO NURSING SCHOOL!"

He smiled and clapped his hands. He winked at her then called her over to him. She stood in front of him and closed her eyes. Nicki stood up and handed him the box and watched as he pulled out the chain with her name on it and put the earrings to match in her ear.

"Open your eyes."

"OMG, Daddy! You got it!!"

She jumped in his arms and hugged him tight then reached for her Mom and hugged her too.

"I love you guys!"

"We love you too baby."

Family Meeting

"Well, I'm not the one that called this meeting. Maddy did, so I'll let her have the floor."

"Thank you Daddy. I called a family meeting because I just want to say I'm sorry about the past few months to Mommy and Daddy."

Linda said as she stood next to Maddy. They both had came up with the plan and were now ready to watch it unfold. Maddy smiled then stood up on the table. She flipped then turned and flipped backwards off the table as Linda turned on the music. They did an African love dance as QJ and Licour joined in. Nicki and SB smiled and watched them show what they knew. Linda put her hand out in front of her daddy as Maddy put her's out in front of Nicki.

Nicki smiled as her little dancer taught her the moves and they danced to the upbeat music. SB was killing it with Linda as if he had known this dance all his life. He grabbed Nic and showed her the way to move her hips as the kids free styled with different African dances.

"Awww, look at my babies, so cute!"

"OUR babies, sure are."

"We're not done though come to the game room."

They looked at each other. They followed behind Maddy as she rushed out to the game house. She stood against the door and held her hand out as Linda stood near the pool in her bikini. She hulaed over to them and giggled as she danced up to them.

"We made you guys a pool side dinner to thank you for always being here for us..."

"Taking us in."

"Never giving up on us"

"Even with our poopy attitudes."

Nicki laughed grabbing Maddy's face.

"For forgiving us for our dumb decisions."

"And our hurtful words."

"Thanks for being our Mommy..."

"Thanks for being our Daddy..."

"And thanks for accepting us into your world.."

"And making us feel loved and accepted."

Nicki smiled all over as the boys and Macy came in with dinner. QJ held Aiydan in his arms with the champagne bottle on ice. SB felt so proud at this moment as he kissed Linda, Maddy and Macy. Then hugged his sons. Nicki grabbed Maddy's cheeks and kissed her lips.

"Don't ever forget that I love you. No matter what anyone says, Maddy Amira Samuels!"

"Mommy, I want a kiss."

Macy said jealousy in her voice. Nicki bent down and gave her a kiss. Macy grabbed her face and bit her cheek.

"I got you back!"

They all laughed as Macy ran into the pool thinking Nic was coming after her. Linda stepped up and hugged Nicki tight then pecked her cheek.

"Forget dinner, everyone get on their swimsuits and lets go for a swim."

Maddy

Maddy isolated herself at school and just focused on her school work. She was sitting in her chair gazing out the window when she jolted out her thoughts when her teacher called her name.

"Maddy just because you pick up your grades doesn't mean you get to wander off in La La Land in my classroom."

"Sorry..."

She said lowly. Her friend Lexa looked at her then down at the paper on her desk. She grabbed it and wrote on it.

Lexa: What's wrong with you?
Maddy: Nothin, I just don't feel like talking.
Lexa: You never do, ever since the break.
Maddy: You can't help me, so why worry about it.
Lexa: Because we're BEST FRIENDS and that's what BEST FRIENDS do!
Maddy: Don't worry okay, I'm fine.
Lexa: No you're not. You don't even act the same. I'll just leave you alone then.
Maddy: Okay.
Lexa: We can't all fight battles by ourselves. We need people just like people need us.

She passed the note to Maddy then moved her seat. Maddy read it and became furious. I need someone and everyone I know just walks out, treats me like shit or treats me good because they're getting paid! Maddy grabbed her stuff and headed towards the door.

"Maddy Samuels, where are you going?"

"Home."

She stated walking out the door. She raced down the hallway and into the bathroom. She went into the bathroom stall and cried. Nobody loves Maddy, not even Maddy. What did we do to deserve this? Are we being punished? She tugged on her hair. She flushed the toilet to muffle her cries as girls came in and out of the bathroom. Shawndra came crawling under the door and stood up.

"Girl, you know I'm big. I can't be doing skinny girl shit."

"Sorry, what's up? Miss Mayflower called your mother and the other teachers are worried about you."

"So. They're only acting like they care cause they have to."

She huffed looking down into her wet hands. Shawndra walked up to her and grabbed her face. She looked her over then stared into her eyes.

"What happen at home? I see you stay here late for tutorial when you don't even need it, you don't be happy to see the man you once always talked about and now you're sitting here crying which in all four years of me knowing you, you've never cried. What's really good?"

"Shawna, I've been with my parents since I was six, they got custody of us when I was eight and I go to Ghana and my Granny tells me that they better be treating us right cause she's paying the good money! Their love is clearly as real as my father's."

She stated grabbing her book bag. Shawndra stood to the side and sighed watching Maddy storm out of the bathroom. There were girls in the bathroom snickering and laughing, saying "The fat bitch is gay." Maddy turned around and stormed up to them.

"You're both stupid with simple brains! You spread any rumors about us and I'll personally slit your throats and send them to your families."

She looked over the rounded girl and laughed.

"You're one to talk about someone being fat when you look like you live off nothing, but food. You must have low self esteem for you to try and come at someone else, who's much prettier and smaller than you tubby trout."

"And as for you April, don't even get me started on how all the high school boys have ran up in you like you're a 24 hour gas station. Hope you don't think you're cute with your flat chest, flat butt and mashed face. Try again you trouts and leave my friend alone!"

She grabbed Shawndra's hand and dragged her out the bathroom. She pulled her to her locker and snatched it open, so that she could get her things. Stupid Girls. Just dusty and it's always the ugly girls who talk the most trash. Shawndra grabbed her hand and stopped her because she was now punch the locker as she closed it back. Maddy slid down the locker and looked up to her.

"Why doesn't she love me? Is it cause she didn't birth me? She loves Macy!"

"Who is.... What no Maddy, Ma defiantly loves you!"

"Maddy Samuels, your ride is here to pick you up at the front desk."

Said Mrs. Nun over the intercom. She stood up and wiped at her face to get it together. Shawndra passed her a baby wipe and some lotion. She wiped her face as she stared into the hand held mirror.

They hugged and Maddy walked down the hall to the front desk. She sighed in relief at the sight of QJ. He stood up and walked over to her and hugged her tight.

clean the pieces that got in the treat. QJ rubbed her back. Then where is the money if she loves us? I don't see her spending it on us? Humph, that doesn't mean she loves me tho. She told herself as they made their way out of the ice cream shop.

Maddy sat on the sofa with her hair everywhere and face in the pillow next to her. She didn't feel like moving and she had a headache from crying all morning into the early evening. She didn't move even when she felt Nicki's hand on the small of her back. She listened as the TV came on and she heard Macy's baby voice. She felt her mother adjust behind her then sighed loudly.

"I know you're woke."

"Um huh."

By the sound of the video and where it was at, she knew her mother had probably been watching the Home Videos all day. She sat up, pushed her hair back and stared at the screen before her. It was Macy's fourth birthday and they were on their way to Monkey Joe's in ATL. Their first time going to the south and she loved it. She looked over at her mother who was staring into the TV as if she was trying to memorize the video word for word.

Maddy stood up and sluggishly walked over to the TV and turned it off. She stood in front of it and exchanged stares with Nic. Since we're both here, I might as well get it off my chest. Nothing she can say will make me stay here with her. She pushed her hair back and stood with her hand on her hips before talking.

"Nicki, Do you love me?"

SB walked into the room and looked at them. He was about to turn when Nicki reached up for him. He stepped over the sofa and sat next to her. She looked at him with a sad look in her face then back to Maddy.

"Do you or do you not?"

"Yes, I do.. Why..?"

"I'm asking the questions."

"Maddy!"

"No, Faree let her speak."

"Then why didn't you tell me about my Granny paying you to keep us? Did you only keep us for our money? Our riches? Huh?"

Nicki looked hurt at her accusations and stood up to walk out. She turned around and looked at Maddy. She let out a small laugh then shook her head as if she found something funny. She thinks this is a joke! I'm starting to hate her!

"Maddy, this, my love, was NEVER about the money! I really love you children and the older you guys get the more you guys slap me in the face for it. I took my time out and hard work into you kids. I gave up a lot for you guys. I don't regret it, but I do regret giving you guys my heart to step on and accuse me of wanting you guys for your money. And for you info.. I never spent a dime of your Grannies money on anything I bought you guys. I put it into a savings bond, so that if anything ever was to happen to me or your dad then you'd have something in case you couldn't get your "riches" from your grandmother. Ha, my fault baby, not yours though."

Nicki stated walking up the stairs. SB looked at Maddy and frowned. She tugged at her hair and cried feeling worse than before. She accused the only person that loved her of not loving her. SB stood up and walked to her.

"Maddy everyone isn't out to hurt you. You can't keep putting up this wall and thinking that everyone, who truly loves you is going to keep trying to knock it down only for you to build it back up."

He squeezed her arm and made his way up the stairs. She threw herself on to the sofa and cried making her headache worse. What did I just do? God I hate myself! She pushed the in button on the TV by mistake and it played the part where Nicki sung to her and told her that she would never leave her. She gripped the pillow and squeezed it shouting into. I'm so stupid. How could I be? She thought until she fell asleep with tears rolling down her face and her palms sweaty. What was to come would hurt or build them all.

Nicki

I was so mad I needed to take a seat as I blew up Linda's phone. She's always on the shit and now all of a sudden, I'm calling over twenty times in an hour. What the is she doing that is so fucking important that she isn't answering my phone call. Nicki breathed in and out as she felt herself becoming more and more angry than worried by now.

"DADDY! She's right there!"

"Where?"

"There, walking down the side street."

Nicki jumped out of her seat and grabbed the belt that she had ripped off QJ. SB looked back to her and shook his head as she headed towards the door. He better move out my way. I won't have this shit in my fucking house. I love her too much for her to fucking run out on me. SB reached out for her and she hit him with the belt across the chest. He backed up as she continued towards the door. She pulled it open as Linda walked up the stairs.

"Where the fuck have you been?"

"At a friends house."

"WHO?"

"Tiffany."

"That's funny because I talk to her earlier and she didn't know where the fuck you were!!"

Nicki shouted as Linda stood on the steps with guilt all over her face. SB came to the door and frowned with disapproval. Linda looked down then up as the tears fell from her eyes. What the hell is she crying for? I'm the one who should be fucking crying! Nicki couldn't look at her anymore and turned around slamming the door in her face.

"Don't let her in my fucking house! She didn't want to be here, so she can stay out there in those streets where she was at!"

"Mommy..."

"Macy don't talk to me right now!"

Macy ran to the door and opened it as Linda stood there crying. Macy walked up to her and reached up for her, but she just turned and left.

"Lindy!"

"I love you Macy, I'll be back."

"Linda, where are you going?"

Alex asked chasing after her. She ran down the block and headed for the cut as he raced back to his car. Nicki stood in the doorway and grabbed Macy. Where ever she going better have her attitude right when she gets back. She slammed the door closed and faced Maddy.

"You didn't have to kick her out. We're her family and we're all she got, remember or have you forgotten about her too?"

"Maddy, I don't have time for your shit if you want to leave you can too."

"I plan on it, in March."

"Where the hell do you think you're going?"

"With my Granny because now I see you don't care about us either!"

Nicki took in her words and began to cry. What, how in the hell is she really saying this? I stop my whole life for these kids and all they do is give me attitude. Fuck this. She stormed pass Maddy towards the elevator with SB on her trail trying to soothe her. She fought the sharp pains in her side as she got onto the elevator.

"Faree get up please."

"Nic?"

"I need to get my baby."

"What? Where is it? What happen?"

"FAREE!"

He jumped up and fell over the side of the bed. He reached for the blanket and crawled back up seeing a frown on her face. She sighed heavily as she stood up and grabbed her coat. She stepped into her slippers and walked down the stairs. She stepped out in the cool night and looked around into the darkness. She headed down the street towards where she saw Linda walk to.

"Baby, it's late..."

"I know and that's why I need to get my baby in the house."

SB didn't say another word as he grabbed her arm and they walked together with her leading the way. She stopped as the pain began in her side again. He looked down at her as she buried her face into his side and squeezed his arm.

"You alright?"

"Yeah."

She lied fighting the pain. She followed the small path until they came across a bench with Linda on it. She was laid under her a small blanket. Nicki sat on the bench as much as she could and rubbed her hand across her face.

"I'm so sorry baby."

"Let me get her Nic and let's get back in the house."

"Okay."

Linda was freezing cold when he picked her up. She shivered letting him know that she was still alive. Nicki watched as he placed her back down then pulled off his jacket and wrapped it around her body and picked her up. She grabbed hold of his pants and followed him out of the path.

They walked back into the house. SB headed towards Linda's room, but Nicki stopped him and pointed to the elevator. He followed behind her holding Linda tight. They got to their bedroom and Nicki dropped her coat on the chair and got into bed.

"Lay her here."

"Alright."

He laid her down then pulled off the coat and walked around and got in. She snuggled Linda and pressed her face against her's then fell asleep.

Nicki examined the passion marks all over Linda's neck, breast and ear. She shook her head piecing things together, but not understanding why she would do it? She sat on the edge of the bed and shook Linda a little to see if she would get up, but she looked at her then shut her eyes back. Sigh, it's going to be a long day. Nicki walked down the stairs to the kitchen to hear SB on the phone.

"Yes, they should be arriving at your house in the next three days."

"I'm sure and hope you and your wife enjoy them."

"Cool, goodbye."

"You too sir."

He spun around Nic's arms and looked down at her. She looked up at him and began to tear up. I've failed and she isn't even my birth daughter. Why couldn't she wait? What's the rush? She promised she'd talk to us first. Her eyebrows furrowed as she let tears escape one by one.

"Faree, she had sex."

"She WHAT?"

"Calm your voice the other kids are sleep."

"Well she about to get the fuck up."

He pushed her off him and raced up the stairs taking two steps at a time. Lord, please don't let this fool do anything stupid. She got on the elevator only to hear Linda yell out in pain and a hard thud. She pressed open when it got to the floor. Maddy stood behind SB trying to get the belt from his hand and Macy was on the bed crying. Linda was up against the wall with tears pouring down her face as Licour and Layshun stood off to the side near the bedroom door.

"What's up, Linda?"

"What did I do?"

"Now we playing stupid? You know exactly what the fuck you did!"

"Daddy..."

"Nic, my baby... I need air."

He threw the belt on the floor after pushing Maddy away and stormed out the door. Linda slid down the wall and cried harder. Nicki was frozen in place not knowing whether to comfort her or going after SB. Maddy looked at her with disgust as she ran out the room.

"Mommy, Daddy left in his truck."

Nicki nodded at Macy as she walked over to Linda. She pulled up a chair in front of her and sat down. Nicki grabbed Linda's face and silent tears rolled down her face.

"Did you have sex yesterday?"

She nodded focusing on the floor.

"Why? Why didn't you tell us? We always..."

"I know, I was going to tell you... At first, but it wasn't Alex, who took my virginity."

She answered not looking at her. Not Alex then who? I hope she was safe at least. As if she could hear Nic's thought she answered her question.

"It was with Wendell then William."

She began to cry feeling ashamed and dirty. Nicki slid back and stood up breathing heavy. She was trapped between being angry and feeling bad. She pointed to the other kids and then to the door. Linda looked up at her and balled up even more into the wall.

"Why did you do it?"

"So I didn't have to go to Africa. I don't want to be there. I don't want to grow up unhappy and strict like my mother. If I'm tainted they won't want me and that's the only way I know, it won't happen again."

Linda spoke shaking and full of regret. Nicki was sitting on the bed looking at her then patted the spot next to her. Linda walked over and sat next to her. She looked down as Nicki spoke.

"If you didn't want to go you had a choice not to go."

"No I didn't, only Maddy did. I know because Grandma told me I was too old not to be married and that when she came to visit us, I was going anyways unless God tainted me. I decided I'd do it myself...."

"Linda, if you would of told me before doing this, you know I would've had your back. You didn't need to do this."

She said in a low voice. Linda looked in her face and wiped at the tear rolling down her face. She pulled her hand back. Nicki sighed not wanting to look at her anymore. Her heart was broken and she had nothing more to say.

"I hope you can forgive me, Mommy. All I wanted was to stay here with you. I'd give up Ghana and my life for you, no matter what I have to do."

Nicki rolled back into the bed and cried hard at Linda's words. Linda stood up and walked out the room. What did I really do to these kids? Nicki now was regretting taking them in. I didn't want them to hurt themselves because of me, maybe that's why their mother was so cold to them, so this shit would be easy. Nicki balled up as much as she could, but only felt pain everywhere she tried to get comfortable.

A silence crept over the house as everyone sat in their personal space. Nicki tried to call and text SB, but he wasn't answering. She looked out the window to see his truck outside. She made her way to the last floor and walked through the garage to see him sitting there with his head on his arms at the old desk that was suppose to been in the trash. She walked up behind him and rubbed his shoulders. He shrugged her off and went back to crying.

"Why she do this me? My baby wasn't suppose to that. She was suppose to be the good one. I was expecting this to be Macy..... Well not really, but shit not her."

"Faree, if i tell you, you'd be even more pissed, so lets calm down..."

"HOW? She never keep secrets from us and then she goes out and does the ultimate slapped to the face!!"

Nicki stepped feeling the baby become upset with her because she hasn't eaten most of the day and here it was two. She rubbed his back then walked towards the door.

"Faree, sometimes we're selfish and stubborn and don't realize it."

She spoke before leavening him to think about it. She walked into the kitchen and washed her hands. Her phone began to ring and she frowned at the name on it. She wasn't expecting to see this name and she didn't know whether to be mad or happy, but she did know she wanted to know why he was calling.

Nicki put dinner on the table and watched as everyone came flying to the table. SB sat at his end of the table and looked down at his food. Linda was gloomy and right under Nic like she did when she was younger. A sign that she was scared. Nicki grabbed hold of her hand and rubbed it. They all sat quiet at first, no-one moving or saying anything. Licour was the first to speak as the ice was beginning to chill.

"I know today has been along day, but I would just like to say that, Linda we love you no matter what. We're family and though we argue and fight, we still love each other."

"I love you guys too."

"You sure? Cause family doesn't hide shit from each other!"

"Faree!"

"We been here for five years of your life and you just... Leave of us hanging like some balls!"

"WOW, you guys are one to talk!"

Maddy interrupted laughing. What the hell? We never hid anything from them. What is she talking about? Nicki looked at Maddy then at SB. Linda squeezed her hand as her leg began to bounce.

"Maddy this has nothing to do with you, so sit back.."

"It does because we're talking about "Family".."

She quoted family which hurt Nic's feelings. Huh? Nicki's heart was racing and the pain began to kick in again with the baby's body pressing down into her belly.

"Girl, what are you talking about? Nicki and I don't keep shit from you guys."

"That's a joke because from what my Granny told me in Ghana you guys have a lot of secrets. Not to mention the only reason you guys kept us!"

All the kids looked between them as their faces looked confused as to what Maddy was on about. What is she saying? We love them that's why we kept them and she knows that. What the hell is her grandmother telling her about us. Maddy got up from the table and slammed her chair against it.

"And Linda you didn't even have to worry about going to Ghana, I had already told Granny that I would be going and she didn't have to worry about you, but now she really does since you're dirty."

Linda burst into tears and laid her head on Nicki's lap. Everyone at the table just sat quiet now not hungry. SB sat and pieced together what happen and looked up at Nicki. She was crying and shaking her head. Macy laid across Linda's lap and sniffled. Their family was crumbling and no-one was trying to fix it. Everyone was hurting from something. The cracks and the secrets. The phone call and the money.
