Everything isn't a Game

SB looked across the desk at QJ, who sat in front of him mute. They both were mad at this point and Nicki had walked in rubbing her swollen stomach.

"You're not suppose to leave that bed."

"What's going on?"

"Pop, is tripping, I'm bout to go."

QJ kissed her forehead then proceeded out the door. She looked at SB to try and read him, but he just look back to the computer and continued typing. He think this shit is a game. He just around here fucking and fucking up. Dumbass.

"NO, my baby just left out that door mad and you're seating here with this ugly look on your face..."

"Just sit down off your feet."

"Not until you tell me what happen."

She stated looking him over and crossing her arms across her chest. He sighed loudly then pointed to the chair. She sat down and cleared her throat.

"He came in here and asked me for some money, the money from his home country, because he spent our money, failing his classes and got some new girl pregnant and now..."

"What? Rewind... He did what?"

He looked at her and reassured her of what he had just said. Her face screwed up as her leg bounced showing her mood. What the hell is this boys problem? "You know she's coming to visit in two months."

"Maddy's twelve and Linda's sixteen."

"You know she has to give them away or one of them."

"They have a choice."

They sat silent as Nicki thought about what was to come. She knew Licour was leaving with her, but neither girl was saying they were leaving. She was upset that he decided to leave, but didn't think the girls were going to leave, so she didn't worry about it.

"So who's QJ new hoe?"

"I don't know, but it's not his girl."

"Wait he has a girlfriend?"

"Yeah, some Maia chick. Cute lil girl."

"And how do you know this?"

He looked up at her as she held her chin in her palm and her elbow on the chair arm. They stared at each other until he looked back to the computer to save his letter.

"Picture in his wallet."

"Um huh."

"Let's get you back in the bed."

He swooped her up and carried her back to the bedroom as she licked and nibbled his ear. He laid her in bed and tried to move, but she bit down on his ear and grabbed his jeans.

"Get in this bed and hold me."

"I really have work to do. Can I come back in about two hours?"

"No bring it in here."

Maddy walked into the room laughing as she passed SB on her way up. She looked at Nicki then walked to the tray and pulled it towards her and placed the food on it. Nicki and her weren't talking at the moment, but she still did things for her even though she was being ignored. Maddy's phone vibrated and she quickly answered it.

"Nah, hey."

"Yes."

"Linda is at her boyfriends house?"

"I don't know."

"Yeah, I don't talk to her about stuff like that."

"Yes, it's only ten extra bucks."

"I can't wait to see you either."

"Yeah, she's right here."

"Okay, I will love you!"

She hung up and looked over at Nicki. Sigh, can't wait until my Gma gets here. Spending every second I can with her and hopefully I can go back this summer. Nicki was eating the salad and staring at the TV. Maddy rolled her eyes then stomped out the room.

"What's your problem?"

"You!"

"What? What I do?"

"You act like you don't care about me anymore!"

"What Maddy? I do care, but you're walking around here mad at me like I owe you something."

Maddy was mad that she was pregnant. She envied that she couldn't be SB and Nicki's blood daughter. Ever since she had visited her grandmother and found out that they were getting paid it only hurt her even more. Nicki was only trying to step back thinking that she was babying her too much, but it wasn't enough for Maddy.

"Forget it. It's nothing."

She stated leaving the room. As soon as she hit the hallway she began to cry. She rushed down the stairs and out the door into the January wind without a coat. It was windy, but warm in Cali.

"I thought you weren't coming."

"I'm here aren't I?"

"That's all that matters."

He said as he closed the door behind her. He grabbed her arm and led her to what she believed was his room. She smiled at all the naked women on his wall. "We can't find Linda."

"She just left Alex house hours ago and now we can't find her."
