Macy

I sat next to Mommy as she read over my homework. I got all good grades, whatever that means. Mommy always circle on my neat paper and I have to redo it. First grade is easy, but Mommy always want stuff perfect. Gosh. Macy looked over at Nicki scribbling on her homework. She sighed loudly as the paper was handed back to her.

"Macy, stop with the extra periods and letters. It's fill in the blank and the words are at the bottom."

"I'm only six."

Nicki smiled grabbing her little round face and kissing her. Macy licked her cheek and jumped out the bed before Nicki could grab her again. She stuck her tongue out and ran down the hall to the kitchen.

"Daddy, Mommy's coming to get me. Hide me!"

"Stand behind me, I won't let big Mama get you."

She stood behind him as she saw her Mommy walk into the kitchen. Her Daddy continued to cook as Nic walked in and kissed him.

"Yuck, that's super nasty."

"Come here little girl."

"No Big Mama you got to catch me."

Macy ducked up under her legs and raced back down the hall to her room and shut the door. She went into her closet and sat down on the floor waiting for her to come get her.

Macy woke up later to the smell of biscuits and strawberries. Ekkkk! Strawberry Shortcake biscuits! She got off her bed and went downstairs to the kitchen. QJ and Andrea stood in the doorway staring at each other. She looked annoyed as he smirked.

"Could you guys mooove."

"Macy go back to sleep."

"Mooooveeee, Marquez!"

"Go to bed."

"Mommy!!!!"

Macy screamed at the top of her lungs. Nicki's voice boomed through the intercom. Macy jumped and pissed on herself. She looked down then grabbed her face.

"Uh oh."

"Man, what the fuck, Macy?"

"She didn't mean to Quez, stop yelling at her."

"I'm sorry, QJ."

"What happen?"

SB stood at the foot of the stairs. His eyes fixed on Macy's wet pants and the puddle by her feet. He shook his head knowing that she gotten frightened. He picked her up and walked off.

"QJ, mop that up."

"I can do it by myself."

"Stop Macy before you mess up your hair."

"Maddy, I can do it myself."

"Whatever, you tell that to Mommy."

"I will!"

She stormed across the hall to her Mommy and tapped on her. She looked at her mother's beautiful eyes flutter open and smiled.

"Mommy, I do my own hair. You like?"

"Why didn't Maddy do as I asked her?"

"I can do it myself."

"Macy, no you can't."

"I told her, but.."

"Maddy shut up."

"Macy, watch your mouth."

"I want you to do my hair, Mommy."

"Macy I can't..."

"Yes you can."

It was one of those mornings. Macy was being a brat and wanted it her way. She stood staring over her mother. Nicki sat up and grabbed the brush from Maddy. She brushed Macy's hair up then took her finger and twisted the ends of her hair into tight curls. Maddy shook her head.

"Come on brat. I'm telling Daddy, you made Mommy get out of her bed to do your hair."

"So."

She knew she wouldn't get in trouble and that Maddy just liked telling on her. She kissed Nicki then her tummy.

"Bye, baby and have a good day at school."

"I will don't have the baby while I'm at school."

"I won't."

Nicki said smiling as she bounced out the room. Macy got in the car and looked at her Daddy, who was staring at her.

"Macy, your Mommy needs all the sleep she can get, so you can't keep going in there waking her up. Let Maddy do your hair, got it?"

"Got it."

She said putting on her seat belt. She stuck her tongue out at Maddy then listened to the morning show. I wonder if I can call the radio and sing for them. I want to be a pop star with glitter hair. She thought as they pulled up to her school.

"Daddy, don't forget my glue for my map project."

"I got it kid."

"Kiss!"

He kissed her cheek then gave her a hug as she turned to go into the building. She looked back and waved. I love my Daddy.

"Come on Macy, I saved you spot next to me at breakfast."

"Okay, Kalyn."

They walked over to their seats and sat down waiting for their food to come. Today was pancake or waffles day. Macy licked her lips as the waffles came around first. She raised her hand and Ms. Jay came and gave her a plate of waffles and eggs with orange juice.

"Yummy!"

"You always get waffles."

"I don't like pancakes."

"Have you ever tried it?"

"Nope, but I don't want to."

Kalyn shrugged her shoulders as her pancakes came. They ate in silence. Macy didn't like when Kalyn questioned her. I don't have to try it not to like it. She got up leaving her plate on the table and walked to the class.

"Macy are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's just a fall."

"Your palm is bleeding are you sure?"

Ms. Jackson asked her helping her to her feet. She nodded wiping her hand on her jeans and shaking the dirt out of her hair. Her and Kalyn were playing tag and she tripped, so it was no big deal to her.

"I'm good."

"Okay, but go wash your hands."

"Alrighty."

She walked towards the door when she looked up to see her Daddy standing there. She ran to him and giggled as he tickled her.

"Why you here?"

"Came to pick you up early, remember you have to go see the doctor lil Tomboy."

"I don't want to go to the doctor."

"Mommy's in the car and she'll be there the whole time."

"Okay, BYE MISS JACKSON!"

She waved bye as SB carried her out the building.

"Guess what, Daddy?"

"What?"

"We had peanut butter and jelly for lunch and Ms. Jackson cut the crust off for me. She so nice."

"That's cool."

He put her down and she ran to the window and hit it. Nicki smiled looking at her mini me as she pulled the door open.

"Mommy, your tummy is big!"

"Your father's fault."

"He feed you a lot of Sunflower seeds?"

"Sure did, Mommy should of said no because Daddy acted like a jerk afterwards."

"I'm never letting a boy give me sunflower seeds. I have to stay skinny and cute. Will you go back to skinny Mommy?"

"Yep, but get in this car so we can go."

"Okey Dokey."

"Noooooooo!"

"Macy calm down."

"Noooooooooooooo, I don't want a shot!"

"Go get the restraining jacket."

"Alright Doctor."

Macy stood up and ran out the room. SB grabbed her as he walked into the room. He sat on the table with Macy looking up at him with her pale blue eyes. She shook her head and whimpered.

"Hurry up."

"Just keep her still."

"I know the routine."

Nicki rubbed her leg to soothe her, but she was still crying.

"It hurts! It hurts! Daddy!!"

"I'm sorry, Doll."

"Daddy."

Macy screamed as the needle went into her skin then pulled back out. She clung to him and didn't let go. She hated shots and needles. Nicki rubbed her back as SB stood up to carry her out. Shots are the devil.

Linda held Macy up over her head as she squealed and kicked. QJ grabbed her then threw her in the pool. She splashed to the bottom then back up to the top. She stood up and wiped her face laughing.

"I'm telling Mommy, you threw me in the pool!"

"Go tell her."

"I'm a tell her you said that too."

"Bet."

"Five dollars."

"Five."

She jumped out the pool and ran towards the house. QJ ran after her and almost caught her, but she stopped and ran the other way to the elevator. He laughed at her outsmarting him then took the stairs.

She got off the elevator and screamed seeing him standing there. She laughed then looked around him. Which way do I go. He started to stalk towards her and that's when she decided to go under him. She ran full speed and dropped to the floor sliding to the door. She stood up and pushed the door open. Nicki looked at her as she pulled on her leggings.

"Mommy, QJ threw me in the pool, said "go tell her" when I said I'm a tell you and he owes me five bucks!"

She ranted off trying to catch her breathe. SB came in the room in a tux and a tie. Macy put her hand on her hips and looked at them.

"Again? Why can't I go?"

"Macy, only for your mother and I."

"I want to go eat with you guys. The baby gets to go."

She stated seriously. Why can't the baby come out and stay home with me? I don't get to go. Hmph. Nicki shook her head and walked over to Macy.

"The baby is in me, so it can't stay with you and the baby can't eat unless I eat."

"I still want to go."

"No Macy and that's final."

She looked shocked as SB said the words again for the third time that week. She stomped off yelling and crying.

"Not fair!!!!!"

"Daddy is a meany!!!"

"Why can't I gooooo?"

She dropped to the floor screaming and kicking. SB swooped her up and held her up to see her face. She wiped at her face as he glared at her.

"Macy don't start that baby shit or no swimming for a week."

"But... Daddy, I want to go too."

"Go ask your Mommy."

She smiled as he put her down. She went in the room and asked if she could go. Nicki told her yes as long as she behaved. She nodded in agreement and went and got ready.

"Yay!!"

"Come on Daddy, I want to dress like Mommy. You like what Mommy have on?"

"Yeah, it's nice."

"Good, I want to look nice too."

She talked and pulled out clothes as he sat and watched her try on different things.
